  hi, i'm newly awakened and just needing reassurance that the wt is indeed a mind-control cult.

  Oogie, you will still have nigglin' little doubts that you are doing the right thing for awhile, but after you start researching the WTBT$ history and older literature [available all over the internet] you will realize that it never was God's organization.

  You can PM if you want. Just click on my ID, then it will take you to a page with my avatar on it, at the top you will see 'Send Message' click on that and send a private message. When you first click on YOUR messages, you will get an 'Error message' just go back and click on it again and it should come up. Just a little glitch.

  an albuquerque woman filed a lawsuit claiming a church leader sexually abused her as a child.. monica jaramillo said michael brunner, an elder at the jehovah's witness church in los lunas, sexually abused her when she was just 8 years old.. jaramillo, now 35, filed a lawsuit claiming other elders of the church knew about the incident but chose to do nothing.. the complaint also alleges jaramillo's mother was raped by brunner.. jehovah's witnesses in los lunas told kob eyewitness news 4 that brunner left the congregation years ago.. .

  Thanks ray/JJ, I've been following all these comments on the news channel website and it amazes me the depth of cognitive resonance they possess. I bet I could also tell them a few things that they don't even know about their own religion, right out of their own literature. Nice job on defended Shyla's comment.

  i heard an announcement some time ago, " [ insert name's ] reinstatement has been rescinded and is no longer one of jehovah's witnesses.

  " has anyone ever heard of such a thing?

  a few weeks ago i posted a topic about a deaf woman studying with the jw's.

  the deaf preacher from the woman's parents church contacted me to know more about the jw's because the parents were allowing their daughter to study with the jw's because "they are such nice people.

  " anyway the deaf preacher contacted me because he knows i just left the jw's last year and he wanted information.. i was more than happy to provide it.

  Thanks for listing this, because Los Lunas is just on the other side of our mountain about 70 miles away. We don't know this Michael Brunner personally , but we do know some of the Brunner family.

  If not the worst, then definitely in the top 3. I don't know of any other religion that is causing so much world wide damage to families over a shunning policy.
